Lugadero is a transdisciplinary office based in London (UK) and Seville (Spain). Its team is composed by professionals in architecture, art, urban design, cultural management and communication. Its aim is to implement placemaking strategies to empower communities to reimagine new public spaces. Among its projects, it stands out the participatory design process that is carrying out in Wimbledon town centre, London. In addition its placemaking projects, Lugadero works in the intersection between architecture, art, culture and design. In its alternative space for art and architecture, it has held exhibitions, collective workshops and published many books about art, urban planning and architecture. Lugadero is part of the Place Alliance network, a movement for supporting design quality and placemaking in the UK, and is an early promoter of CivicWise, the international collaborative design community.
